| In the past, by the grace of God, ICON has been able to provide a platform for
facilitating help for several deserving causes. Over the years there has been several messages requesting for help on ICON and we know that the ICON members have been responding to several of them. Besides these, there has been specific projects undertaken by the ICON Moderators who have overseen the collection and disbursement of the benefits to the benefeciaries.Below are a few of them for our
information

PROJECT JIMSHA
| ICON CHARITIES HOME |
GREAT POTENTIAL REVEALED |
|
A Sunday School headmaster Mr. K.C. Abraham informed IOIF about an 8th grader Kumari Jimsha who had a poor heart condition and whose family could not afford the resulting medical expenses.
IOIF decided to rally behind Mr. Abraham and was successful in mobilizing a synergy that result in a significant amount of help for Jimsha.
The following are some of the ICON Messages related to this effort. It reveals how
a movement got formed on ICON on its own in an effort to help Jimsha
and shows the potential of this community to work together for God's glory:
Initial Message by K.C. Abraham and appeal by Moderators (Sept 11 2002)
Mathew Varghese, Abu Dhabi's message on Jimsha
Fr.Shebaly's message asking for contributions
55% of the medical expenses met by IOIF
Almost entire expenses met by IOIF!
Varghese John (Muscat) writes about the collection
Entire amount for treatment (and more) collected by IOIF! - surgery performed on Oct 16th 2002
Jimsha back in school - Nov 2002
This was another milestone in the life of ICON. Building on the experiences of the Sosamma Chacko project, the help to Jimsha and the updates and followups from Mr. K.C. Abraham and the other IOIF members
convinced the Moderators of IOIF that IOIF was merely a platform for working wonderful miracles in this era. The effort was a truly global and one thing led to the other and the result was a smooth execution of another
well co-ordinated project creating help for a deserving cause. We thank God for using us for
his work.
