The ICON Charities, Inc is a non-profit organization registered in US to undertake charitable activities based on the teachings of Christ, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me" (Matthew 25:40).

"The goals of the Organization are to provide economic assistance for education of children economically and socially disadvantaged families with emphasis on helping girls to reach their maximum potential, to help in times of medical emergency, to assist construction of shelter; to provide economic tools - financial assistance and guidance - for the poor to work their way out of poverty with dignity and grace."

The Core Values of our Projects

At ICON Charities, while our projects focus on different needs, they share a set of core values and best practices. Every project that we implement will provide our well wishers the tools and information to measure our success in living up to these values. We continuosly learn and adapt to stay effective in the charity landscape and provide you the oppurtunity to help others in need.

• Volunteer Powered: All our projects are coordinated and run by volunteers. We have no paid office bearers and therefore keeping our operational costs to a minimum.
• 100% In-Out: Every dollar that you contribute reaches the beneficiary for the project that you specified without incurring operational and other overheads.
• Extremely Low overhead: We have a very low overhead and are underwritten by our office bearers and does not come out of your donations.
• Openness and Transparency: Everyone gets to see every transaction using the trail of your donations feature. The accounts are published and audited by the public.
• Living the full charity life cycle: We invest heavily in all phases of the life cycle, especially on creating awareness and follow-up with our donors.
• Non-Discriminatory: Our services focus on the most needy. We do not discriminate our services based on religion, sex, caste or any other criteria.
• The Team: Our projects are run by compassionate volunteers who bring a wide range of expertise to the table that help coordinate the projects successfully.

Our projects mainly focusses on the areas of education and community development. All the projects are done with the help of our volunteers across the world.

Realizing Education Assistance Partially (REAP)

Realizing Education Assistance Partially (REAP) is a charitable project aimed at reaching out to financially poor students from background places. Our mission is to facilitate caring and sharing for financially poor students to achieve the dream of higher education by providing educational assistance. Currently, the project focusses on reaching out to the students of Idukki district, Kerala, India.

DOSTI³ (Dream of School through Inform, Involve, Inspire)

DOSTI³ (Dream of School through Inform, Involve, Inspire) is a community development project, aimed at providing quality education to financially backward children. The project provides financial assistance to these underprivileged children as well as helps fund the target schools where these children are likely to attend.

The word 'DOSTI' means friendship in Hindi (The National language of India). The 'I³' stands for the three I's in the ICON caption: Inform, Involve, Inspire. These core values are the cornerstones of this project.
